Glide, a pop-up ice skating installation, has slid into the plaza in front of the repurposed Battersea Power Station, bringing festive cheer to South West London. This magical experience is brought to you by the same team behind the infamous Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and the former ice skating experience at the Natural History Museum.
Open now, the only riverside rink in London features three interconnecting ice surfaces for skaters to take for a spin, complete with its centrepiece 30-foot Christmas tree. Down for a ride? See the area from a different perspective on one of Glide's fairground rides, such as the festive Ferris wheel, and be sure to remember the moment by snapping a shot in the photo booths.
If all that skating has got you in a slump, head to Battersea Power Station's restaurants for food such as tapas and tacos.
Glide is now open at Battersea Power Station, Circus Road West, Nine Elms, London SW8 5BN. For more festive fun, check out our list of best things to do in London this winter and sign up to receive an upcoming newsletter.
