Cask Smugglers is an all-new secret bar concept located in the city centre, offering a perfect escape from Fringe festivities with some impressive views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat.

Set against rustic decor, Cask Smugglers features vintage furnishings such as wooden barrels, exposed surfaces and dimmed lighting, reminiscent of the Prohibition era’s hidden bars. This is paired with an old-timey soundtrack of folk and jazz music, even Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh has been seen hitting the decks.

To keep guests refreshed, Cask Smugglers serves up a menu of craft brews, creative cocktails inspired by the roaring 20's and an extensive collection of whisky. That’s not all though, as famed Edinburgh street food vendor, The Peruvian's chef Carlo Carozzi, is dishing a menu of authentic Latin American eats. These include leche de tigre ceviche lomo saltado, a fresh white fish with sweet potato, and the creamy spiced chicken, aka the aji de gallina.
