Nancy Hands

Nancy Hands is a traditional Irish pub found in the Stoneybatter area, specialising in home-style dishes made from the best local ingredients. They also serve a killer pint of Guinness, thanks to their convenient location right by the brewery.

You'll often find live music being performed here, the perfect accompaniment to your roast dinner. Chow down on succulent cuts of beef or chicken with all the trimmings, followed by a sticky toffee pudding. Plus, they're dog-friendly too.

The Ivy Dublin

This London export has brought handcrafted cocktails, all-day dining and tonnes of floral interiors. Fronting some serious good plates of roast chicken and lamb rump, this eye-wateringly beautiful restaurant is an excellent spot for a Sunday lunch in Dublin city centre.

Their offering costs just €24 per person, and you can add on tasty sides such as truffle mashed potato or Irish herb stuffing, as well as desserts like their signature chocolate bombe. Enjoy your meal surrounded by colourful, arty interiors, which are just as Instagrammable as their cocktails.

Searsons

Known for serving some of the best Sunday lunch in South Dublin, Searsons is delivering its roast of the day with their creamed mash, seasonal veggies, and scrumptious stuffing. Choose from Hereford Irish beef striploin, rotisserie half roast chicken or a roasted squash vegetarian option.

Pair it with a Guinness or check out the whisky bar - which was named National Whiskey Bar of the Year in 2024, as well as having won National Bar of the Year in 2017 and 2019.

Hawksmoor Dublin

This award-winning restaurant may be best known for its steaks, but Hawksmoor also whips up a fantastic Sunday roast for meat-lovers. Head to the temple Bar area to find this popular spot, which flaunts original 19th century features and is housed in a former National Irish Bank.

Tuck into a dry-aged beef rump or any of their sharing cuts for two, paired with bone marrow gravy, Yorkshire puddings and buttered greens in roasted garlic. There are some pretty tasty sides on offer too, including celeriac mash with sausage gravy.

The Exchequer

One of the best Sunday roasts in Dublin city centre, The Exchequer's sharing platter comes complete with fresh cuts of meat, lashings of wine and so many trimmings. Their offering serves four people, with prices starting from €74.95.

You can enjoy these tasty meals in their sleek, modern restaurant or to takeaway if you fancy dining in the comfort of your own home - just make sure to get your preorders in at least two days in advance.

Fade Street Social

Created by award-winning chef Dylan McGrath, Fade Street Social is a buzzing restaurant bar which boasts a huge dining area, a rooftop terrace and a cocktail bar all in one venue. They serve up a cracking menu of international eats throughout the week, but their Sunday dinners are definitely not to be missed.

Prices start from just €19.50 each, with a choice between vegetarian pies, beef sirloin, chicken with ham hock or stuffed pork to go with your trimmings.
