Your mid-shop refuel has just gotten an upgrade, courtesy of Mrs Chew's Chinese Kitchen.

Founded by Ellen Chew, the mind behind Chinatown's Singaporean and Malaysian hotspot Rasa Sayang, the Birmingham haunt is located within the Grand Central shopping centre. It's the newest opening from restaurant group Chew-On-This and joins a family of popular London strongholds including Soho and Borough Market's Lobos Tapas and Westfield's Lotus Leaf.

The space has a playful quality to it, having taken inspiration from ping pong and Mahjong. Industrial chic low lighting adds a cosy touch whilst a mix of countertop seating and tables make it ideal for either a quick bite to eat or a more leisurely meal. So what's cooking? The 60-cover eatery is whipping up simple and authentic dishes using beloved recipes and fresh ingredients. On the menu, you'll find noodle dishes, dumplings, stir fry bowls and dim sum.
