Dive down to Digbeth for a character-crammed, atmospheric drinking den that delivers the ultimate in old-school. Harking back to the iconic, bygone decades of the 60s, 70s and 80s, The Night Owl grotto guarantees retro grooves as you kick your dancing shoes to an eclectic array of symphonic Northern Soul sounds, Motown melodies and disco beats. With strictly vintage vinyl spinning on the decks, a bunch of bubbly boogie-ers atop a sprung wooden dance-floor against a full-on, funky interior design, you'll no doubt be jiggling, twirling and twinkling late into the night.

Despite being one of Birmingham's smallest party venues with a capacity of just 80 people, Sugarloaf makes up for its size with raucous club night Lucha Libre. Head down to this basement bar in Birmingham for a quirky Mexican themed ambience, where the wrestler outfits and hilarious antiques will leave you in stitches. You'll struggle to find a more fun-loving bar in town.
