The Oyster Club

Tucked away under Temple Street's The Ivy restaurant, The Oyster Club is the second Birmingham spot from Michelin-starred chef Adam Stokes. As you'd expect from the seafood specialist, the menu is packed with everything from scallops and caviar through to prawn cocktail and fish and chips.

Designed by Digbeth's Faber Design to emulate the most classic of oyster bars, it's split between a 30-cover restaurant and 24-seater bar area. So you can sit and shuck while sipping champagne or take to a table for a multicourse fish feast.

Simpsons

Holding a Michelin star since 1999, Simpsons has paved the way for fine dining in Birmingham. In a stunning Georgian mansion, its wooden beams and exposed stone walls are the perfect backdrop to bottles of bubbles.

Head chef Luke Tipping's menu is just as extravagant. Serving up contemporary British cuisine with international influences, it packs in lobster raviolo, seaweed custard, scallops and chalk stream trout.
