The Northern Quarter is already famed for its cool aesthetic, but now Manchester is welcoming a little slice of Berlin to Stevenson Square. Honey Trap Club has been designed for simplistic fun, without the frills, fuss or dress code.
The bar and event space pays homage to its German counterparts by offering an experience that’s a little rough around the edges with reclaimed furniture, graffiti-covered walls, dark red LED lights and exposed brickwork. The bar menu features classic European beers, and an ample list of signature mixes and disco cocktails such as Violette Framboise with Manchester raspberry gin, creme de violette, lemon, cherry bitter and gomme. There's also the Writing's On The Wall, with ketel one, passionfruit gomme, peach bitters, lemon and prosecco, and another nod to Berlin, 99 Luft Balloons, with ketel one, creme de cassis, cherry bitters, apple juice, lime and framboise gomme.
The venue is designed to be the perfect spot for an impromptu night on the town, with the city’s top hip-hop DJs descending on the club once the weekend rolls around. Above the club is BAB, a kebab restaurant from the same owners. Serving gourmet grilled meats all day, it’s a perfect solution for those drink-induced munchies after a night out at the club downstairs.
