We all shed a collective tear when Dogs ‘N’ Dough announced their closure earlier this year, but you can't keep a good dog down…

The team behind the beloved Bow Lane bar are back with a fresh new offering. Saloonville is a Boston-inspired retro gaming haven, with walls lined by arcade treasures, booth seating and long tables. What makes the roster? Classics such as Donkey Kong, Ms Pac Man and Kung Fu Master of course. These guys also house others that can’t be found anywhere else in the city, such as Hyper Sports, Pop Eye and Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins, which are sure to provide a blast from the past for gamers.

That’s not all though, as the bar has created a menu of retro-inspired cocktails to fit the vibe. Honourable mentions go to the FBI (Frozen Black Irish), a deadly mix of vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, and vanilla ice cream served in a sundae glass, as well as aptly-named Blastaway which pays homage to the original turbo shandy (vodka, lager, and Smirnoff Ice). They’re joined by appletinis, pina coladas and shooters of baby Guinness, Alabama slammer and the blow job to name a few. Blend these with the imported snacks of Ding Dongs, Twizzlers and jalapeno Pringles and you’ve got one star-spangled night on the town.
