From elevated wine bars in Peckham to sky-high Southwark spots, London's rooftop bar scene is looking bigger than ever. And celebrity favourite Madera at Treehouse London is here to keep that fire burning. Heading to Langham Place, where the old Saint George's Hotel used to be, the West End restaurant and bar has opened as Treehouse Hotel.

Think modern Mexican food and tequila-based tipples in a leafy, bright space that touts 360-degree views of the city... one might even call this a treehouse. With famous fans at the sister restaurant, Toca Madera in LA and Scottsdale, including Michael B. Jordan, Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner, this is looking like a big one.

When it comes to the menu, dishes are a smart take on Mexican dining; we recommend the organic grass-fed carne asada, a steak which is served on a hot stone, cooking in front of you, and also the ceviche blanco, a fresh mix of wild-caught Atlantic halibut, lime, jalapeno and avocado. But it's the margaritas that steal the show, with bartenders mixing up a long list of twists, including a basil-infused concoction, and a lip-smacking chilli take. When you're done eating? The Nest is the ace up this space's sleeve, with views across London and a unique drinks menu, all based on different birds.
