Australian Chef Shaun Presland is to open his first London restaurant. Pacific will take over the space vacated by Foxlow on Lower James Street in Soho.
What can we expect? Well, Shaun has gained notoriety in Aus after being trained by some of the world’s best Japanese chefs and spending seven years perfecting the art of sushi making. He then became the executive chef for the Sake restaurant group in Australia, leading to international critical acclaim. With this experience and the name Pacific in mind, we’re holding out for some kind of stunning seafood restaurant, with sushi gracing the menu somewhere.
Shaun’s already wowed British audiences with his successful residency at Carousel in 2015, and a series of supper clubs at the Tate in 2017, so we’re very eagerly anticipating any updates on what Pacific will bring.
