What they say:

The masterminds behind Wedge Issue Pizza have one overarching goal - to introduce LA-style thin crust and vegan pizza to London's hungry crowds. The team have set up shop in the ever-trendy Shoreditch for their second restaurant and are hoping to replicate the success of their first Clerkenwell-based venture. Alongside the selection of British and American craft beers and ales, guests can enjoy crispy pizzas topped with flavoursome cheeses, seasoned cuts of meat and, to really keep us on our toes, a pizza that uses vegan chocolate as its base.

What we say:

Now we'll be completely honest, we aren't entirely sure thin-crust pizza is exclusively an LA thing; we think the people of Naples might have something to say. But that said, the food created by Wedge Issue Pizza is still out-of-this-world. The pairing of great craft beer with even better comfort food is a pattern that thankfully shows no sign of ending. The Maribel and The London Fields - made using chorizo and crushed meatballs respectively - are big hitters on the menu, but refreshingly, it's the restaurant's vegan-friendly option, The Clerkenwell, that's become its signature recipe. We're talking Mediterranean vegetables, spicy San Marzano tomato sauce and vegan cheese; a must-try in our eyes.
