New Bar Spy - Prairie Fire

The West London BBQ Spot That's Reminding Us Of A Very Special Relationship

Prairie Fire

Now Open

In amongst impeachment trials, tango faced presidents and a mass renunciation of carnivorous diets, it’s fair to say we’ve experienced something of a lover's tiff of late with our neighbours across the pond. Fear not though, Kansas City native Michael Gratz is here to remind us exactly why we just can't quit the USA, with his offering of slow-cooked meats and BBQ classics.

Having spent the past few years touring London’s food markets, the pitmasters at Prairie Fire have chosen Wood Lane’s railway arches for their first permanent spot. Serving their much-loved menu of 16-hour smoked brisket and 14-hour applewood smoked pork along with a whole load of sides and sauces, this swanky new spot is set to become something of a West London Mecca for meat-lovers. And for those of a veggie or vegan inclination? There'll also be a selection of crispy jackfruit burgers and wings up for grabs.

Spread over two archways, the new venue will also home a 16-tap taproom with regular takeovers and a huge selection of locally brewed ales. For sunnier climes there’ll be a roomy terrace, enticing diners in with wafts of BBQ smoke and thirst-quenching sips.

Bring on summer 2020.
