Tesco Launches Its First Ever Pub For King Charles' Coronation

London Tesco Pub King's Coronation Pop-Up | DesignMyNight

First we had Platty Joobs; now it's time to welcome the Corrie Naish.

Forget grabbing some tinnies from your local shop's fridge to celebrate Charles' coronation. Tesco are opening their own pop-up pub - decked out in the brand's colours, plenty of bunting and Union Jack flags - for two days only this May. The Castle in Farringdon is being taken over to mark the lead-up to this big day and all proceeds go to youth charity The Prince’s Trust too, which the man himself founded almost 50 years ago.

Aside from pouring all your pints? The daytime menu at The King In The Castle includes The Prince's Crust pies, Ploughman's platters and high teas, while the evening makes for a stellar gastropub experience - think Camilla’s king prawn curry or sirloin steak. To finish off your meal, we'd recommend the deconstructed cheesecake washed down by a trifle-inspired bellini. Ah, the best of British.

Find this pop-up at The Castle34 - 35 Cowcross Street EC1M 6BD. The Tesco coronation pub's opening times are 4 and 5 May, from 12 to 11pm.
