Pink Oktoberfest is serving German realness with a twist

Pink Oktoberfest is here to add an extra camp twist to your German celebrations

Oktoberfest is a time to drink too much beer, eat too much bratwurst and listen to too much oompha music. However, this traditional German gathering is getting an added camp twist, courtesy of Pink Oktoberfest. This includes eclectic performances from drag kings and queens, fairground rides and stalls, plenty of authentic food and lots of beer, of course.

Returning for its second year, the LGBT+ special event is encouraging those from all walks of life to dust off their lederhosen or dirndl, and celebrate this cultural tradition as one big Bavarian community. Expect to see some of the capital's most-loved acts such as John Sizzle, Ginger Johnson, Dave the Bear, Grace Shush, Shesus & the Sistas and Yoko Fomo turning it out all day long.

Pink Oktoberfest is taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 1A Honour Lea Avemue, E20 1DY. The event runs from 4pm - 11pm on the 7th October, with tickets from £15.
