London Roundup: 10 Things To See, Do, Eat & Drink This February

There's a lot to be grateful for when February rolls around. The Six Nations is back up and running, the first 5pm sunset of 2024 is penned in the calendar, not to mention Chinese New Year parties and our beloved Pancake Day. That's without mentioning new restaurant openings and never-seen-before experiences. If your plans for the month are looking a little fatigued, grab your diary because with what we know - you're gonna want to fill it in.

Mistress of Mayfair: Eat At London’s New Champagne-Obsessed Restaurant

Opening: Early February

Did you know that Mayfair had more new openings in 2023 than any other area in London? Unsurprisingly, another grand unveiling is on the cards for 2024 and it’s called Mistress. The name darkly takes inspiration from the tunnel near the restaurant that was used to smuggle sex workers to and from the area’s notorious gentlemen’s club, White’s. Expect a roaming Champagne trolley, lobster dishes, aphrodisiacs in the form of oysters and plenty of hedonism with late-night DJ sets.

Eve: Spend Pancake Day In An Instagrammable Restaurant

Bookable Until: The Forseeable

Pancake Day falls on 13th February this year, so there’s no time to flip between plans. There are plenty of places across the city that are going all out and we know more than a few places doing specials. Eve, however, is the perfect spot if you want to ditch sugar and lemon for a sophisticated Shrove Tuesday. It’s a gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant and co-working space with an all-day cafe that cooks up cardamom pancakes so good that you won’t know why you haven’t been before.

Wagtail: Watch The First 5pm Sunset Of 2024

When: 8th February

PSA: The first 5pm sunset of 2024 is happening on 8th February. If your ground-floor one-bed flat in Tooting doesn’t offer the best views for such an event, not to worry. Wagtail is one of London’s coolest rooftop bars where you can see The Shard and St Paul’s and more importantly that glorious sunset. There are Grey Goose cocktails on the menu and some great low-ABV options too, think glasses of wine for as little as £5, £6 bottles of beer and £8 mocktails.
