No one does festive cheer quite like our friends in the USA and this year London merrymakers can get a taste of it. Setting up Santa's workshop at Covent Garden's Henrietta Hotel, the New York-born Miracle on 9th Street is going international as it brings cocktails and kitsch decor to the Henrietta Street venue for a whole month this season.
Kicking off on the holiest of American holidays, Black Friday, the Miracle pop-up, which has already spread to 70 cities across the states, will be pulling out all the stops to produce the most tinsel-draped extravaganza in town. We're talking lights, we're talking trees, we're talking those weird, tiny ornaments that are super cute but actually completely terrifying if you look at them for long enough.
We're also talking cocktails. Yes, no Christmas pop-up is complete without a menu of themed tipples served in gaudy glassware and Miracle at Henrietta is no different. Take a sip on their Snowball Old Fashioned for an easy-drinking evening with its sweet mix of butterscotch rye, spiced demerara, wormwood bitters and orange zest. If you're looking for real Christmas excess though, the And A Partridge In A Pear Tree is a heady concoction of tequila, pear brandy, mezcal, spiced demerara syrup, lime, whites, soda, angostura bitters and cinnamon that will give you a taste of the Boxing Day hangover to come.
Miracle At Henrietta run from the 23rd of November until the 23rd of December at the Henrietta Hotel, 14 - 15 Henrietta Street, London, WC2E 8QH.
