BrewDog Splashes Into the Spirit Market

Watt Dickie

BrewDog's new spirit looks set to take the market by storm.

Ever the unconventional little innovators, BrewDog has just announced its brand spanking new 35% ABV spirit, WattDickie. Calling itself, 'the first genuine innovation in spirits for 200 years', this radical new concoction started life as an innocent India Pale Ale before undergoing secret freezing alchemy to create one monster of an IPA-cum-spirit.

Whilst the full process used to create this high octane drink is shrouded in secrecy due to its patent being pending, it's just had its first outing in the Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh BrewDog branches. WattDickie follows on from the success of the Scottish brewery's other high ABV beers such as Tactical Nuclear Penguin, however, this time they've created a beer so beer-y that it can't even be classed as beer anymore.

One half of BrewDog duo, Martin Dickie, calls the high octane drink the Mr Hyde of their beer range. If you want to indulge in a bit of this brewery's more rebellious side, you can get your mitts on a 6cl bottle for only £2.99 on the brewery's website at the end of June.
