Verve Bar - DJ Bar Review

In the heart of West End party central, Verve is perfectly located for a pre-club drink or even as a destination in itself.

The Venue

Verve, spread over several levels, is a decadent melange of deep purple walls, dark drapes, huge chandeliers, baroque mirrors and sexy leather booths. The bar is the centre of the action, but there’s enough space and variety here to spend the whole night. A balcony provides a great spot to watch all the action, while downstairs is a more intimate space, though no less fun. A weekend licence to 3am means there's no reason why you wouldn't hunker down for the long haul.

Slot yourself in at one of Verve's comfy booth areas before launching an expedition to the dance floor.

The Atmosphere

In a word; 'fun'! Tourists and locals mix to provide the heady atmosphere of a crowd determined to have a good time. Loud but tasteful good-times tunes, friendly staff and convivial customers make this a great place to spend the night. If you’re celebrating, this is the place to come. Verve even have a team of dedicated party planners available to ensure your night goes with a bang.

Mix it up with a fun-loving crowd out to dance deep into the night.

The Drinks

The whole mixology thing is big here, with well-made classics and intriguing bespoke cocktails to the fore and theatrics behind the bar. A variety of cocktail pitchers are available, as well as a clearly popular Porn Star Martini to share in a huge glass. The draught beer selection is pretty good too though, with craft beers from Goose Island, Brooklyn and Meantime on tap. Even if you’re feeling peckish, you don’t need to leave – there’s a bar food menu including a range of burgers, dogs, chicken wings and sharing platters.

A cool crowd work their way through a tasty stack of Porn Star Martinis at Verve.

Summary

All in all, for a good time in friendly and classy surroundings, Verve would be hard to beat. Cocktails, tunes, a touch of glamour, some good food (if you want it) and a crowd out to let their hair down make Verve a great choice in a part of London where sometimes it’s difficult to find just the right place. Chuck in a late licence, and that’s your weekend sorted!
