Our Review Of Sticks'n'Sushi In Glasgow: We Tried This Popular Restaurant's First Scottish Venue

Looking for sleek, modern Japanese dining in Glasgow city centre? In late 2025, Sticks'n'Sushi opened its first Scottish outpost on George Square, bringing the group's signature Danish-Japanese concept to a spacious new venue. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Denmark, and is slowly making its way across the UK, fronting interiors by Copenhagen’s renowned OEO Studio and a premium Japanese menu. We recently visited to see whether it lives up to the buzz. Spoiler: it absolutely does.

Our Overall Experience At Sticks’n’Sushi Glasgow

DesignMyNight Review Out Of 5: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

For a restaurant that’s just opened its doors in Glasgow, Sticks ’n’ Sushi has arrived with confidence. The combination of sleek interiors, polished service and consistently excellent dishes which taste truly fresh makes it a strong new addition to the city’s dining scene. What's more, the attentive, welcoming and genuinely helpful staff were great at explaining the set menu and recommending additions without being pushy. The ‘Set For Success’ menu is generous (we left with a doggy bag), beautifully presented and feels special, though it leans toward the premium end on pricing. Whether you’re there for the sushi, the sticks or the cocktails, you’re in for a memorable experience.
