Glasgow Gets Vegan This Festive Season

Vegan Christmas Market will be popping up in Glasgow this festive season

A vegan Christmas market is coming to The Briggait this December. The event, organised by local organisation Vegan Connections as part of their Vegan Christmas Festival promises food and festive snacks, as well as handmade gifts, mulled wine and carolling.

Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or down for all foodstuffs, it’s an event not to be missed. Their 2017 summer festival had over 50 stalls selling everything from raw chocolate truffles to vegan health and beauty products, which bodes well for the selection on offer at the Christmas incarnation. The organisation has already announced that Edinburgh-based tempeh fusion connoisseurs Tempehtation will be in attendance, so prepare yourself for their Korean Fried nae-Chicken.

The charity will be running a donation drive, alongside the market, to collect non-perishable vegan food and clothing for local homeless charities, and hosting an evening of live music at veggie cafe Mono in the evening. Tickets are a steal at just £2 pre-booked and £3 on the door, while under-16s go completely free.

The Vegan Christmas Market takes place at The Briggait, 147 Bridgegate, Glasgow G1 5HZ from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 9th December.
