What they say:
Eclectic Bar Group will be bringing their Lola Lo Tiki Bar to Deansgate Locks in mid-December. With Lola Lo Bars in numerous other cities nationwide, Eclectic are anticipating similar success in Manchester. Eclectic, the owners of Sakura bar on the same Deansgate Locks strip, will be situating Manchester’s first Lola Lo to the spot where Pitcher and Piano used to be by the canal. The 560 capacity venue will contain three levels: a lower ground floor, a ground floor and a mezzanine, creating a multiple-tiered tiki paradise. With DJs playing in the evenings and through the night, exotic, beach-themed drinks and live entertainment, Lola Lo is expected to breathe fresh vibrancy into the Deansgate Locks scene.
What we say:
Manchester can never have a tiki bar too many. The other tiki bars around are thoroughly treasured by a faithful following; it’s inevitable that Lola Lo will reap similarly fruitful success. Fitting in nicely with the trend, Lola Lo looks promising. With additional unique features such as a fancy dress box and wooden tiki cocktail glasses, Lola Lo Manchester is an evolution from the existing bars. Being the first Lola Lo to have a casual dining operation, serving skewers, baskets, dogs, the teriyaki-glazed big Kahuna Burger and much more in their Island Grill area, the Manchester Lola Lo has edge on the rest. Think Hawaii meets bar glamour; we thoroughly anticipate the opening of this new Deansgate Locks bar.
