The Sea, The Sea

Now Open

So long Londrino; chef Leandro Carreira is back, but this time he's headed for The Sea, The Sea. Taking the reigns of the brand new fishmonger, deli and seafood bar coming to Chelsea's Pavilion Road, Carreira will be acting as executive chef. Brought to you by Bonnie Gull co-founder Alex Hunter, this latest venture centres on fresh fish and seafood.

By day, you'll find produce like native lobster, langoustine and turbot sourced from some of the UK's best regional markets; to special catches like carabinero prawns and red king crab from overseas. Come 6pm, the venue will reopen for dining with changing tasting plates. Dishes lean towards Oscietra caviar with elderberry capers and Cornish seabass crudo washed down with Grower Champagnes and wines.

Not your usual Sloaney restaurant, this west London spot will host events from interactive masterclasses focussing on skills like oyster shucking, fish filleting and curing; to a regular guest fisherman series where you can watch the likes of Ikoyi's Jeremy Chan take over the kitchen for one-off dinner service.
