Malmaison Deansgate SORA

Set on the seventh floor of Malmaison, Sora Sky Bar is a sleek rooftop hangout offering a fusion of pan-Asian bites and skyline views. The menu is packed with punchy flavours, from Korean BBQ to fresh sashimi, while the bar shakes up signature serves like the cherry blossom negroni.

Come for the food, stay for the vibe offered by sweeping rooftop views, DJs and live guest musicians.

The Ivy Spinningfields

Perched above Manchester's streets, The Ivy Spinningfields rooftop is your ticket to catching the last golden rays of summer. With sweeping city views and a brasserie-meets-Asian fusion menu, this sky-high spot serves up both style and substance. Think shareable small plates and hearty mains bursting with seasonal flair - from yellowfin tuna tataki and wagyu short rib croquettes to lobster and prawn rolls or a peach, prosciutto, and mozzarella salad. Dessert? Go indulgent with the signature Ivy chocolate bombe or opt for the sharp-sweet hit of a yuzu and lemon tart topped with black sesame meringue and clotted cream.

Come the weekend, the energy shifts up a gear. Every Friday and Saturday from 4pm until 1am, live DJs take over the rooftop, spinning everything from soulful house to feel-good crowd-pleasers. It's the perfect soundtrack to sunset cocktails - like the refreshing Sunset in Salford - and one of the most effortlessly stylish ways to spend a summer night in Manchester.

Climat Manchester

A luxurious restaurant on the eighth floor of Blackfriars House in Salford, Climat is a pretty sophisticated dining destination. Brought to you by the team behind Chester's Covino, this stunning spot overlooks the Manchester skyline, complete with an outdoor terrace for even better views.

Whether in the sultry interiors or outside, you can devour an extensive menu of beef tartare, tempura asparagus, cured halibut and more. They've also got more than 250 different bottles of wine to try, with a focus on Burgundy.

Chotto Matte

A certified staple of the capital's Nikkei dining scene, Chotto Matte has chosen Manchester for its first UK restaurant outside London - and it could not have picked a better location. Taking the highest spot in Gary Neville's much-anticipated St Michael's development, it gives you epic views along with its classic cocktails and signature small places.

The Japanese-Peruvian menu packs in all sorts, from pollo picante to salmon tataki tartare and lychee ceviche. The tipples are just as tasty and even more intriguing, with the likes of Inca Manhattans and classic pisco sours up for grabs.

The Con Club

Tuck into hand-crafted sushi and stunning seafood platters while gazing out on a pretty market area at The Con Club. Located in Altrincham, this eatery also boasts a hidden rooftop tipi with DJs and has its own on-site microbrewery, meaning you can enjoy some of the freshest pints around.
