Inspired by Australian cafe culture, The Counter House is dishing up worldwide eats across an all-day menu in a stylish contemporary setting.

Head Chef Jan Cron, trained at the Michelin-starred Alcron in Prague, is promising a menu that boasts both health and comfort. Diners will be able to chow down on baked almond chicken katsu curry, spiced dhal and beef brisket, along with hot grill dishes such as chilli beef burgers and sea bream. There will also be a number of vegan, vegetarian and health-conscious dishes including acai bowls.

The space itself oozes style, with reclaimed oak floors lying underfoot and towers of plants lining the wall, creating a bold yet welcoming environment. Art prints cover metal screens above an orange leather bar, topped with pink marble, and low-hanging lighting illuminating the venue. Each element has been ethically-sourced, down to the table tops made from recycled yoghurt pots, all ready and waiting to serve diners from breakfast till dinner, with brunch sessions thrown in for good measure.
