Taking over six railway arches beneath Manchester Central, the city's favourite artisanal gin-smiths are proving they've come a long way since its founders began distilling the stuff in their dining room. Manchester Gin's new Watson Street distillery is set to be the city centre hub for juniper junkies, incorporating a 1,000 litre still, a bar and restaurant into the venue. 

Floor-to-ceiling windows will let pedestrians and passers-by catch a glimpse of the distilling process as the brand's new mammoth still - affectionately named 'Wonder Wend' - does its thing across three arches. The remaining spaces will be transformed into a chic bar and restaurant area for sipping on some delicious cocktails, or getting to grips with the spirit through a planned series of tutorials, tastings and talks.
