Firmdale Hotels are giving art enthusiasts a guided tour of Ham Yard. Find out how to collect and successfully hang art, making it fun and interesting within a living space.
Design Director, Kit Kemp’s passion for art is present within the interior design of all Firmdale Hotels with famous artists juxtaposed beside up-and-coming ones. Artworks range from Tony Cragg’s sculpture at the centre of Ham Yard Hotel’s courtyard, to the mesmerising A Million Times installation by Humans since 1982 and Martha Freud’s 32 glowing porcelain pots, which feature within the restaurant.
Starting in the Drawing Room of Ham Yard Hotel, visitors will be guided through Kit’s personally chosen art collection, before journeying on an intimate walking tour to some of Soho and Mayfair’s most prestigious galleries, led by curator Olivia Paterson.
The walk will end at Ham Yard Hotel, where guests can choose to enjoy a delicious three-course lunch or Afternoon Tea.
£95 per person, including walking tour and three-course lunch or afternoon tea
The next Firmdale Art Walks will take place on Saturday 2nd September, Saturday 7th October, Saturday 11th November and Saturday 2nd December from 10.30am-2.30pm.
Walks last approximately 2.5 hours followed by lunch or Afternoon Tea. Each walking tour will operate with a maximum of 10 guests but a minimum number of 5 guests must book in order for the tour to go ahead.
OLIVIA PATERSON
Olivia Paterson has a BA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and an MA from Edinburgh University in Contemporary Art Theory. She has worked with some of Europe’s leading private collections and at blue-chip galleries such as Timothy Taylor, Hauser & Wirth and Inigo Philbrick, organising exhibitions and advising clients. Olivia has also spent time at both Sotheby’s and Christie’s auction houses and acts as an independent arts writer.

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
