The Soho Hotel’s popular series Fashion & Cinema: Life Journeys
continues with inspiring insights into the fantastical world of
costume design. On 20th November The Soho Hotel is delighted to
welcome respected British costume designer - and triple Academy

Join journalist and curator Keith Lodwick for an ‘in conversation’ looking into the archive of Beavan’s work. The London-born designer has dressed leading actors including Dame Judi Dench and Colin Firth for award-winning films such as A Room with a View (1985), Sense and Sensibility (1995) and The King’s Speech (2010).
Hear from Jenny on her formidable career that spans more than five decades, discussing how she approached the iconic and show stopping looks for Emma Stone in Cruella (2021) and recreating the couture of Dior for the newly released Mrs Harris Goes To Paris (2022).
The ‘In Conversation' will be followed by a showing of Jenny
Beavan’s chosen film Cruella starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson
in the hotel’s luxurious screening room.
