Thirty people living in the woods for a weekend.
Band camp is all about living wild with friends or making friends for three days.
Its about jamming, eating, spending some time at practice, maybe sharing some of your songs at the late night fire side open mic (without a mic) and connecting back with nature.
You don’t need to be the worlds best guitar player, or even play at all. Nor do you need to be a great camper. You just need to like music and be prepared to spend sometime with yourself amongst others.
The time is spent jamming, practicing, attending workshops on Friday and Saturday afternoons or reading, or talking, or wandering aimlessly amongst the trees.
All your food and drinks are covered by your ticket price. For those that like booze with their campfire, there’s ales, beers and wines. For those that prefer to stay sober, you’ll find a healthy collection of teas and juices and a kettle that is almost always perched on the fire side.
The food is prepared by the campers and vegans and vegetarians will find a range of options and a separate grill.
You’ll meet at London Bridge on Friday morning at 10am where a van will take your tents, gear and guitars. From there you’ll need to take a short train ride to Croydon to catch the TGS bus which will drop you off at the site.
To get back, all of that in reverse.
Its camping, so you’re in a tent. Yurts are available at extra cost.
