International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March, Ham Yard Hotel will
host a special pre-release screening of the highly
anticipated Radioactive followed by a live streamed
Q&A with the film's star Rosamund Pike and Academy Award
nominated director, Marjane Satrapi.
Settle into the hotel's luxurious state-of-the-art screening room
as you discover the inspiring true story of Marie Curie (Rosamund
Pike). From the 1870s to the modern era, Radioactive is a
journey through Marie Curie’s enduring legacies – her passionate
relationships, scientific breakthroughs, and the consequences that
followed for her and for the world. After meeting fellow scientist
Pierre Curie (Sam Riley), the pair go on to marry and change the
face of science forever by their discovery of
radioactivity.
The genius of the Curies’ world-changing discoveries and the ensuing Nobel Prize propels the devoted couple into the international limelight. From Academy Award® nominated director, Marjane Satrapi, comes a bold, visionary depiction of the transformative effects and ensuing fallout of the Curie’s work and how this shaped the defining moments of the 20th Century.

In the midst of Soho and moments from Mayfair, Ham Yard Hotel has an urban village feel. The hotel revolves around a tree-filled garden with a bronze sculpture centrepiece by Tony Cragg.
Alongside the hotel's 91 individually designed bedrooms and suites are 24 apartments, 13 independent stores and a restaurant and bar with outdoor dining.
There is a drawing room and library, Spa and Gym, theatre, private event rooms and a 1950's style bowling alley. The rooftop terrace, another of the hotel's private events spaces, has sweeping views of the Soho skyline.
Interiors are designed by Kit Kemp in her award-winning modern British style.
T&Cs
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
