WORLD-CLASS GARDEN TO GLASS
2-7 OCTOBER 2017

As part of London Cocktail Week, Ham Yard Hotel will host a series of pop-ups on its private Roof Terrace, in the heart of Soho. Inspired by home-grown ingredients such as lavender, jasmine, tomatoes, scotch bonnet chillies and honey, the week-long series has something for everyone.

Firmdale Group Mixologist Eoin Kenny has been working with Diageo’s World Class team to produce five different concepts for London Cocktail Week. Each night, learn from the experts on flavour and pairings, as Ham Yard opens up its leafy private roof-top terrace with sweeping views over the London skyline.

Monday 2nd October: Seedlip Masterclass
Stewart Howard, UK Ambassador of the world’s first non-alcoholic spirits, Seedlip, will be hosting a unique masterclass using home-grown botanicals and herbs from the garden to produce beautiful and sophisticated non-alcoholic drinks. Choose ingredients and explore the kitchen garden with Stewart on Ham Yard Hotel’s roof terrace.

Tuesday 3rd October: From Garden to Dessert
Firmdale’s Executive Head Chef, Robin Read and Group Mixologist, Eoin Kenny, will be hosting a masterclass on how to use botanicals found in the garden in pastry cooking and homemade cocktails. Both will conduct guided tastings through two dessert cocktails and their complementary pastries, giving guests the inspiration to take dinner parties to the next level.

Wednesday 4th October: Urban Bees & Honey
Join Ham Yard Hotel’s resident Bee Keeper as she explains about the importance of urban bees and bee friendly plants to encourage their survival. Taste a variety of honeys, discovering the difference in flavour profiles alongside some delicious honey-based cocktails.

Thursday 5th October: Chillies and Spice with World of Zing
Thursday welcomes flavour expert, Pritesh Mody from World of Zing to host a Ketel One Bloody Mary masterclass. Under the guidance of Pritesh, build your own Bloody Mary, just as you like it, with a variety of spices and garnishes from the garden and from the World of Zing’s ingredient closet and engage in a heated discussion on chillies and how best to use them in drinks and cooking.

Friday 6th October: Urban Garden to Glass
Dan Dove, Manager of Diageo’s World Class and Eoin Kenny, Firmdale’s Group Mixologist, will host a masterclass on how to supercharge your Tanqueray Collins using ingredients from the home. Guided by Dan and Eoin, venture into Ham Yard’s rooftop kitchen garden to freshly pick four botanicals of your choice before a demonstration on how to create your own syrup.
