Arguably one of the most unique Indian restaurants in London,
Atul Kochhar's Maddox Street restaurant, Kanishka, brings together
flavours and cooking methods from across the Indian subcontinent.
With dishes inspired from memories and travels across a
contemporary Indian menu, the menu offers up a stunning selection,
including Seared Orkney scallops with wild nettle, corn, coconut
and caviar; Atul's famous Butter Chicken - tandoor roasted chicken
tikka simmered in plum tomatoes and fenugreek gravy; Traditional
Old Delhi Style Biryani and Peanut Butter Parfait with
caramelised banana, 24-carat gold leaf and marshmallow.
As for the drinks, Kochhar has made them a key element in the
Kanishka experience with a stand-out selection of cocktails
available such as a Roast Banana Old Fashioned, perfect for
enjoying perched at the bar, or weather permitting, on their
outdoor terrace, while you mull over their extensive whisky
selection.
The interiors hark back to tradition, ritual and nostalgia mixed
with calming blues and intricate beading.
