Looking for authentic Indian dining without the fuss? Tamila is heading to canalside street food favourite Hackney Bridge, offering traditional tastes in a casual setting.

Tamila is the brainchild of not one but two specialists from the ever-popular Roti King. Former executive chef, Prince Durairaj and operations director Glen Leeson have joined forces to create a South Indian restaurant that focuses on how food brings people together. Hands are a must when eating here and sharing is encouraged too, if you can bare to give away even a single bite.

But let's get down to business... for food you can expect proper hearty dishes like paneer butter masala and chicken curry, served with the perfect flaky roti and washed down with indulgent mango lassis, masala tea or a choice of beers. Taking pride of place on the menu are Tamila's dosas: dippable delights that come with tomato chutney, coconut chutney, dhal and fragrant potato curry.
