Hong Kong's Michelin-Starred Serge Et Le Phoque Is Heading To London This September

What they say:

The world famous Serge et le Phoque restaurant in Hong Kong is looking West, opening a new site in London's Fitzrovia. The masterminds behind this Michelin-starred name, Frederic Peneau and Charles Pelletier, have roped in the expertise of Clove Club sommelier Bert Blaize to help with this new project. Sticking to what they know, the team will offer a revolving menu of classic dishes, all cooked using modern French techniques, including the likes of scallops with anchovies and fresh octopus with century egg, ajj Amarillo and tobio.

What we say:

The name Serge et le Phoque needs no introduction in the cooking world; after all, people tend to take note when you win a Michelin star. Suave and sleek, the new venue will be based in the recently opened, equally luxurious Mandrake Hotel in Fitzrovia. You'd be a fool to really ignore this news. Given that the flagship Hong Kong restaurant features in the World's 50 Best Restaurants to Watch, over 1000 independent experts clearly understand the potential and promise it holds. Competing in London's fierce foodie circles won't be a problem for them either, as long as the food does most of the talking. In all honesty, we have a hunch the Michelin inspectors will be sniffing around this swanky spot in the not-so-distant future.
