After a ten month residency suppling South Kensington’s The Sampler with seafood goodness, The Oystermen are set to open up a permanent home in Covent Garden. As the name suggests, these guys are all about the oysters, serving them up fresh straight from Britain’s coast, or slavered in a variety of different, tasty sauces. We’re talking buffalo barbecued, Cajun-battered and more. The menu is also be filled with other seafood treats, including home-cured, smoked and pickled fish.
What we say:
Is there anything more decadent than the thought of eating oysters in Central London? Well, The Oystermen are all about highlighting delicious British seafood without country club price tag, as their Happy Hour deal is six oysters and a glass of sparkling wine for £10. But it’s not all oysters all the time: the menu is filled with mussels, south coast crab, fresh fish, as well as a great selection of charcuterie and cheese.
