What they say:

The masterminds behind Notting Hill's Eggbreak restaurant have taken on a completely different challenge, opening an Indian restaurant in Covent Garden. The Tandoor Chop House, sitting on Adelaine Street, uses the best cuts of British meat to recreate the tastes of Northern India. The majority of dishes are cooked in 3 traditional tandoor ovens, stationed in the centre of restaurant. Making use of recipes that are as old as time, the kitchen packs a punch, plating up dishes such as Amritsari lamb chops, beef bofti and tandoori chicken, coated in a ginger and garlic curb.

What we say:

The overlapping of British and Indian culinary circles is by no means a new phenomenon. After all, the 'traditional' vindaloo and korma dishes can't be found outside of Britain. But the use of tandoor ovens and British meats still excites us, ensuring a balance of both amazing flavours and quality ingredients. Crucially, the team's experience with Eggbreak will prove to be invaluable; there are few better ways to cut your teeth in London's restaurant circuit than by successfully opening a restaurant in an area like Notting Hill. Something tells us the Tandoor Chop Shop's going to do just fine.
