What they say:

With cocktails served in sardine cans and milk cartons and old-fashioned tinned goods lining the walls, Temple & Sons will be a quirky and casual restaurant, deli and cocktail bar in the City. The venue is set over two floors and takes inspiration from its heritage, Palmerston House which was previously on the site and named after British Prime Minister Henry Temple. During the day the downstairs will be a deli serving traditional British snacks with owner Jason Atherton's Michelin-starred touch, think game sausage roll with creamy mash and HP gravy. The upstairs will be an open-grill restaurant and in the evening, the ground floor will transform into a cocktail bar.

What we say:

You know anything by Jason and Irha Atherton is going to be a hit; they are responsible for Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social after all, and Temple & Sons looks to be no different. The City venue will be focusing on British cuisine in a Victorian-styled restaurant, deli and bar. The upstairs grill will use hay, wood and charcoal for dishes that sound incredible; we're already looking forward to wood-fired pork chop, collar and crackling with sage & pine nut crumb. The flexible downstairs space will be a deli by day and cocktail bar come night, and the whole venue will have a more casual vibe than some of the chefs other ventures.
