From interior-obsessed Instagrammers to fine food lovers, Bar Douro has proved to be a popular pick, and now the London Bridge restaurant is doubling up with a second location in the City. As part of the redevelopment of 1 Finsbury Avenue, the sister site will be located in a grade II listed building by Broadgate Circle and just minutes from Liverpool Street and Moorgate stations.

Expect a similar layout to the original restaurant, with counter dining alongside an open kitchen. If the spacious restaurant doesn't quite do it for you, then head outside to the terrace. Look out for those gorgeous hand-painted Portuguese azulejos tiles, hand-cut stone flooring and interiors designed by architectural designer Steph Gallia.

With owner Max Graham - whose family founded Churchill's Port - at the helm, there's sure to be an extensive selection of the fortified wine. Pair your Portuguese craft beer or white port and tonic with snacks, small plates and larger dishes like bacalhau, before finishing off with a pasteis del nata.
