We know how much you guys love a good class of gin, so to celebrate World gin day, on Saturday and Sunday, June 9th - 10th, we and the lovely folks at 'Malfy' are throwing a ‘Gin Garden Party’ – we can hardly contain our excitement.
World Gin Day launched in 2009, by virtue of the belief that gin should be commemorated with its own dedicated day (we could not agree more). The idea is to unite all the gin lovers and spirit drinkers of the world to get together over a classic G&T, an elaborate gin cocktail or even just a neat glass for the brave amongst us. Lucky for us, 'Malfy' is here to help us all do exactly that. After the enormous success of last year’s event, this year we promise an even bigger and better party with all the gin you could possibly dream of and live music to keep your feet of the ground!
Sip your drink while sitting in one of the deckchairs, soaking up the sun, enjoying your weekend, listening to live music..
How crazy good does that sound? The party kicks off around noon on both of the days.
Grab a bunch of your best mates and bring them along to Balham Beach Club for two whole days of partying at the Garden Party of the year, and of course loads of delicious gin.
When: Saturday and Sunday, June 9th - 10th, from noon
Where: Balham Beach Club, The Devonshire
Tickets: It's totally FREE to attend
Live band: Saturday - Dat Brass Band at 5pm/ Sunday - Annie Grace Smith at 3pm
Dj Ziggy  - Saturday from 7pm.

For a little history lesson: back in the 11th century, gin was invented by Monks living on the coast of Salerno in southern Italy. This first creation of gin was made using juniper berries for the purpose of curing health issues. Since then, the distillation of this liqueur has developed and changed, but Malfy Gin still uses lemons from the Amalfi Coast. Malfy Gin is distilled by Torino Distillati, a small, family-owned distillery in Moncalieri near Torino in Piemonte. They use lemons from Amalfi to give their gin a fresh, zesty, and generally "summery" taste.
