I have been to three Laugh Out Loud evenings at Angel (used to love going to the one in Brixton - why don't you do them there anymore?). It's a great evening, good venue and good value. Some hit and miss but generally a high standard and lots of laughs with one exception... Brian Gittins was AWFUL. It's bad enough that he had to resort to a purple clown wig but getting out a prosthetic penis and wearing it flapping around the entire set? Really? The audience at Angel/Islington are too polite. Anywhere else he would have been booed and heckled off the stage. Visited The Old Queen's Head on 2017-05-22

Brian as usual was strange but so, so funny and a great antidote to the right-on, politically correct, metrosexual stand up comedians that are becoming more and more prevalent in comedy these days. It literally is the way he tells them as jokes I have heard him tell before still had me laughing my head off. Pity a large section of the audience were unable to appreciate his comedy. Felicity Ward was the best of warm up acts. The MC made wish I'd spent the evening at the Manchester arena Visited The Old Queen's Head on 2017-05-22
