In 2015 our Prince nights became a bit of thing, we had non stop Prince, Prince V Michael Jackson and Prince V Stevie Wonder. For the first Prince party of 2016 we thought we could share the love with David Bowie. There is no versus, just pure love and house party vibes.

Dressing up is very much encouraged.

Hmm. I was really excited about this night, and managed to have a good time, but more in spite than because of the organisation. The main complaint is the volume of people that were allowed in - I spent £5 on a ticket and no one checked or seemed to care whether you had a ticket or not. This was annoying as meant it seemed like a waste of money, and also the upstairs became absolutely rammed. It was so, so crowded that it was really difficult to dance. I also felt the DJ wasn't reading the room, it took ages to get going with the decent tracks. Finally, my friend was made to pay a £100 deposit for a 'booth for 10', which turned out to be a tiny table that could just about squeeze 8 adults onto it...seemed very mean to make him do a minimum spend of £100 just to sit at a tiny table! They need to consider ticketing and how many people to let in to make this a properly enjoyable night. The food is delicious though! Visited The Old Queen's Head on 2016-03-26

Would seem hard to mess up a Prince & Bowie night but, what d'ya know?! The DJ had no understanding of EQ so after about 30 minutes everyones ears were super tired of bass and drums. The songs we were all there to hear were almost unrecognisable. He also couldn't read the crowd at all and would enjoy languishing through the long instrumental sections rather than mixing in another tune.
