A bar in London has created a colour-changing, Harry potter themed cocktail

Don't let the simple look of this cocktail fool you, there's a transformation waiting...

Granary Square Brasserie is notoriously a looker, from their velvet sofas and insistence on chandeliers, down to industrial awnings and a crystal glow, it's quite a treat for the eyes, but their new spring cocktail selection also happens to be a treat for the imagination.

As part of a seasonal refresh, Bar Manager Will Beatty has taken inspiration from the travels, trains and tales of King’s Cross and St Pancras to curate a petite, yet show stopping selection of new cocktails. While their Passion of St Pancras is themed on the exoticism of the station's international trade routes with Havana Club rum, passionfruit syrup and a tart pineapple shrub, it's their Platform 9 ¾ cocktail that has everyone talking. Not only does this Harry Potter inspired drink boast gin, a candyfloss garnish and crème de bergamot, the lustrous blue colour (stained by Yumchaa blue tea) turns pink once a pouring jug of citric acid is added into the mix.

The new spring cocktail menu at Granary Square Brasserie is available now. The venue can be found at 1-3 Stable Street, King’s Cross, London N1C 4AB.
