From braid workshops to Nordic feasting: The Queen of Hoxton's rooftop goes all out Viking this winter

Where did the teacher send the Viking when he got sick in class? To the school Norse.

We don't know about you, but we probably rely on Queen of Hoxton more than we should. We rely on them to return with their beloved rooftop boozing every winter, and we rely on them to warm our bellies with their hot toddy and festive flickering. This year? They're shaking us off a little, and going all-out on a new rooftop theme.

'Presided over by beautiful Shield-Maiden Skye, Queen of Hoxton’s Winter Wigwam has been reincarnated into a Viking stronghold'. You heard the horn-headed heathens; this year, they've gone Nordic. Bringing on board the help of production team Fables (Secret Garden Party and Shambala), this rooftop space is going to be battle-call converted, boasting a long boat, feasts inside a WigWam, fire pits, driftwood sculptures and drinking horns. Guests to the rooftop space will enjoy foraged cocktails the likes of vodka-heavy 'Thor's Courage', a myriad of mead-led nights and try their hand at a selection of workshops and immersive events including viking life drawing and a hair braiding workshop. Just remember to bring your offering of friends and bum chums to the Norse gods.

Skye Halla will be open from Thursday 27th October 2016 – April 2017. The rooftop is free entry and opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 4-10pm.
