Covent Garden Christmas Lights

12th November - January 2025 - The Market Building, London WC2E

Covent Garden is set to run its famous London Christmas lights for 2024, and the news is sure to get everyone's sleigh bells jingling once again. You'll be able to immerse yourself in the yuletide surroundings of the main piazza, complete with statement statues and quirky festive fixings. Visitors and droves of tourists to the area can expect over 40 giant bells, seasonal sleighs, 12 giant baubles and a 40ft Christmas tree, famous for both its size, and beauty.

Kew Gardens Christmas Lights 

13th November 2024 - 5th January 2025 - Richmond, TW9 3EG

Kew Gardens is back yet again with its London Christmas lights experience. Celebrate your festive cheer with family and friends along this dazzling trail, complete with sparkling pavilions, glittering tunnels and the most Instagrammable trees around. Routes around the famous gardens will also have street food vendors on hand for winter warmers and hot chocolate. Last entry is at 8pm, with slots starting from 4:20. The event is not open on Christmas eve

Oxford Street Christmas Lights

Running from 5th of November

And then there's the big one. We're very happy to report that The Oxford Street Christmas lights will be returning for November 2024. Every year, these high street Christmas lights are the talk of the town, glowing bright and beautiful throughout the festive season. Made from recyclable materials and LED bulbs, not only are these more efficient, they're turned off after 11pm for energy preservation. But when they are on? Iconic and one of the signals of the changes in season, that Londoners pander for.

Belgravia Christmas Lights

Running from 17th November

Update your Insta feed with Belgravia's Elizabeth and Motcomb Street epic displays. These iconic spots will be touting stunning lights for the season, alongside late opening times for those who fancy a little Christmas shopping. After a market? The Eccleston Yards is also a perfect stop-off for those last-minute presents.

Carnaby Street Christmas Lights

Running from 7th November 2024 - W1F 9PL

Carnaby Street is a celebrated shopping destination, wedged between Oxford Street and Regent Street, with both independent and chain retailers promising the best in deals, and local restaurants putting on dinner, but you've come here to hear about this year's Christmas lights. Going all out with a theme each year (with previous themes including 'electric' and 'rainbow), visitors to the Carnaby Street lights can expect a dazzling display, switched on this 8th November.

Kenwood House At Christmas

14th November - 3rd January

If you're looking for a London Christmas lights tour, then check out Kenwood House's cool trail, which will be taking place from December to January. After making its big debut a few years ago, this stunning Grade I listed hotspot will be transformed yet again into an immersive winter wonderland. So, expect 'Gram-worthy light and sound installations across the space, alongside vibrant displays on the grand manor.

Leadenhall Christmas Lights 

Running from Thursday the 14th of November 

This year, the Lord Mayor will be flipping the switch and illuminating Leadenhall Market on Thursday the 14th of November with its spectacular Christmas Lights switch on. Venture down from 5.30pm to catch a speech and the unveiling of the gorgeous 18ft real Christmas tree in the centre of the stunning Victorian market. There'll be colour-changing LED light displays, ginormous baubles and more.

Old Spitalfields Market Christmas Lights 

Running from Wednesday the 13th of November 

Watch in awe as the East London shopping and dining destination transforms into a twinkly wonderland on Wednesday the 13th of November. Old Spitalfields Market will be adorned with Christmas trees and decorations galore, with the special switch-on event taking place from 5.30pm. If you're hungry for a slice of festivities before then, however, you can pop down from 1pm to bask in the launch of the Christmas Market and shops. Think mulled wine, mince pies and more.

The Shard Christmas Lights 

Running from the 14th of November until the 31st of December

This year, The Shard is drawing upon the festive classic, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, and bringing it to life by illuminating the city with a gorgeous light display from its famous Spire. Venture over to London Bridge on the evening of the 14th of November, and catch the spectacular for the very first time, along with a performance of the well-known song with a surprise music icon. The display will be visible from over 40 miles away, and exhibit 15-minute light sequences inspired by Jingle Bells, Deck The Halls and more, every hour.
