From your beach pop-ups and your hot tub brunches to your street food festivals, London is a steaming hot-pot of activity this summer, but there's a beer event adding another notch to the temperature gauge this July, and it boasts a Belgian twist. Brought to you by Sayuri Kasajima and Nicolas Tondeur, two Belgian natives and proud Londoners for four years now, Ales Tales is looking to fill the city's Belgian gap, bringing Belgium's beloved beer culture to the shores of East London. How's your Belgian beer knowledge? Pretty slim on the ground? Ales Tales are ready to change all that. Not only are some of the best brewers in town for your unadulterated, pint pleasure (it's unlimited tastings throughout your visit when you grab your festival glass on arrival), there's going to be trade sessions and public sessions too. Some of you are familiar with the chip, but have you ever had real fries? The Belgian ones (double fried “Bintjes” potatoes)? At Ales Tales, you'll have your chance. Not only are they bringing you fries, the way they should be, they've got authentic Belgian chef Fabrice Rocheteau at hand, churning out some of the finest in Belgian cuisine on the day. From ballekes sauce liegeoise (meatballs with beer sauce) and croquette de crevettes (shrimp croquettes) to Belgian cheese and dry sausage platters, Ales Tales have no shortage of great food to choose from, all with that special, Brussels touch.

While we're digging the food, and we're more than down with the beer, we all know it's the atmosphere and the space that tops off any festival, and Ales Tales have picked one of the best. Headed to the beloved Oval Space, just shy of Cambridge Heath, not only are East Londoner's in prime position for a visit, this is a 450-square meter space where drinks on the terrace, cool industrial interiors and event gusto can be found, giving Ales Tales the ultimate, beer festival advantage.
