CUNNINGLY BRUTAL: Kill Team Tournament

Our Kill Team season continues with the Cunningly Brutal tournament, presented by Rolling Zeros, on 1st March 2025 at Arcanist’s Tavern in Shoreditch. 

This will be a 20-player singles event, using a mix of terrain sets from previous seasons. 

Rules Set:

This event will be run using the most up-to-date rules set for Kill Team, including any balance data slates, errata, and FAQs.

Kill Team Selection:

All Kill Teams with rules updated for this edition are eligible to play in this event. If any new teams are officially released before this event, they will be eligible for play.

Terrain and Missions:

We will use the Approved Operations 2024 Tac Ops and Missions. Map layouts for Gallowdark and Volkus will be taken from the Approved Operations deck. Map layouts for other terrain sets will use the layouts from Can You Roll a Crit. Each table will be preset with a specific map layout, and players will be assigned to tables randomly. All players will play the same mission each round as outlined in the event schedule below.

Tournament Format, Pairing & Placing Metrics:

All participants will play in a three-round Swiss tournament to determine the outcome. Game rounds will be two hours each. Pairing and Placing mechanics may change pending BCP system updates.

Setup & Event Briefing - 10:00 - 10:15

Round 1 (TBD) - 10:15 - 12:15

Lunch - 12:15 - 13:00

Round 2 (TBD) - 13:00 - 15:00

Round 3 (TBD) - 15:30 - 17:30

Awards & Cleardown - 17:30 - 18:00

Team Selection Deadline: 11:59 pm on 28th February 

While Rosters have disappeared in the new edition, players should still lock in their Kill Team Faction in advance through the event listing on Best Coast Pairings. BCP link will be emailed to attendees before the event.

Painting Requirements:

There are no painting requirements for this event. Conversions and proxy miniatures are accepted and strongly encouraged as long as they can be matched to the appropriate entry on the roster. If your models vary greatly from the standard kit, please contact the Tournament Organizer in advance to confirm they are easily recognizable. 

Tools of War:

Players must bring their Kill Team, equipment terrain (barricades, ladders, etc), dice, measuring gauges, and order markers. Players must bring physical models for universal equipment terrain (ladders, mines, barbed wire) should they wish to select these.
