'The branches of the Astral Corridor weave through time and space, echoing fractured realities once thought forgotten. The archivists of the Black Archives work tirelessly to catalogue these tales, reaching into the furthest depths of the corridor to glimpse what can never be.’

Black Archives is a TTRPG story spotlight event, as our house GMs weave tales from across the multiverse. These original stories are self-contained and setting-agnostic, intended for both experienced and newer players. We'll be featuring a variety of indie TTRPG systems alongside our regular D&D5E offerings!

Each session will feature it's own unique system and requirements, so be sure to read the full event description before ordering.

Tonight, the tales you can expect to uncover are:

SUMMER OF LOVE

SYSTEM: D&D5E (2014)
THE STORY: It’s the late 1960’s. The Summer of Love is in full swing across the United States as hippies and hero's alike rebel against "The Man" in search of creating a more magical and peaceful world… And in the heart of this newly founded counterculture lays Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco California. But just beneath this budding hippie community lies a “far out” reality that finds itself locked in tandem with the turmoil of the modern and mundane.
So prepare to turn on, tune in, and drop out as you embark on a psychedelic transcendental voyage into the summer of love. This Urban Fantasy D&D adventure will see players living in an alternate history version of San Fransisco during the "Dixon" Administration. As members of the F.L.O.W.E.R Children you are the defenders of the counter culture, fighting for a better world for everyone everywhere.

Returning adventurers take heed. This is a new adventure set in the Summer of Love setting!

RINGING THE DIVING BELL

SYSTEM: The Adventure Game Engine
THE STORY: The city of Lighthouse is heaving with excitement. The huge port metropolis is about to celebrate its 250th Diving Bell Festival; a magical fast-action spectacle like no other. Crowds have gathered on the shore, and in the cliffs of the city above to watch as teams of adventurers, young and old, have stepped forward to face this year’s Diving Bell challenge.

On the Lighthouse Sea, a portal to the Weird Waters will soon open, revealing an aquatic obstacle course that the contestants must race through to get to the central arena. There, the first three teams to make it must fight one another and the arena itself to ring the diving bell in order to win the game, the glory, and the prizes!

My first time at the Arcanist Tavern and first time playing RPG, and I had so much fun! Really excellent starting point either for complete beginners or those who just want to try a new game.
