Exciting Announcement!

Lyndsey Simpson, co-owner of The Curve Group will attend this event and deliver an insightful, unmissable talk -

"What are the 3 F’s and how can women be more successful?"

An insight into what companies look for in successful female talent and some hints and tips about how women can be more successful in business

Join us in an evening of celebration for women assuming roles of power (and free flowing fizz!)! Networking, copious amounts of Veuve Clicquot Champagne and complimentary canapés to be looked forward to - all at the popular destination of Searcys One New Change Champagne Bar on the 5th October.

Relaxed and informal, this networking evening will draw the attendance of over 50 women ranging from business owners, directors, managers and assistants from a rich mix of business sectors. Guests have the opportunity to actively facilitate business to business connections, help companies to raise their profile and increase valuable contacts. In the spirit of National Champagne Week guests will also have the chance to increase their champagne knowledge through a variety of fun-filled activities!

Taste testing with Veuve Clicquot and the chance to make your own Champagne cocktails with Veuve Rich are just some examples of what’s in store with prizes to be won throughout the evening.

DID YOU KNOW?

That the French word for widow is veuve?

You may have seen this word on a specific Champagne label—and maybe you’ve wondered why? To find out it’s time to go back to the 19th century when some savvy “sisters” broke the rules and created champagne as we know and love it today. It’s a story of triumph over tragedy—with a happy ending for lovers of bubbles everywhere! Madame Clicquot was a production genius, innovating techniques still used in the making of fine Champagne today. Her most famous product is the iconic, orange-labelled Veuve Clicquot.

Widowhood allowed these women to assume roles unheard of for the time. Freed from status as “property” of their now-deceased husbands, these women fought their way to unprecedented power. They were the first female CEOs of France! From the style of the bottles, to taste, color, production—even marketing—their contributions shaped the modern Champagne industry.
