Bring on the sunshine 100ft above the London streets and join us for a truly unique blend of cutting-edge live music and laugh out loud comedy coupled with beautiful cocktails, outdoor garden games and outstanding summer BBQ food...

After previously hosting Maverick Sabre, Ed Harcourt, Zak Abel, Wretch32, Izzy Bizu, Daley and Delilah on our live music stage, and huge comedy names such as Katherine Ryan, Doc Brown and Kerry Godliman to our Scoundrels Comedy Stage, we're back with a bang in 2016. We're bringing you another awesome three events, each featuring a different lineup of established and breakthrough artists to the Roof Gardens and really kick off your summertime!

The latest line-up details are below so have a look who'll be joining us this summer...

Hailing from Brixton, London, Arrow Benjamin was a singer/songwriter perhaps best known for his vocal contribution and co-writing credit on the hugely successful single "Runnin’ (Lose It All)" with English DJ and producer Naughty Boy. The single also marked Benjamin’s first collaboration with R&B superstar Beyoncé. Benjamin was raised on a diet of reggae, deep house, groove, funk, and a whole host of other genres, clearly influencing his approach to songwriting. Not having grown up around any musical instruments, Benjamin trained and transformed his voice itself into an instrument, and soon began writing his own songs, eventually lending his creations to numerous collaborators including Major Lazer, Labrinth, and Rudimental. Referring to himself as "the midwife" for referring to his songs as "his babies," and his companionable nature, Benjamin eventually became the leader and principal songwriter of the Live Vynl production collective.

It was only a matter of time before Benjamin was drafted in to write alongside Naughty Boy for the aforementioned hit track featuring Beyoncé, which was inevitably followed up with his first release, the WAR (We All Rise) EP. Already compared to the likes of Gnarls Barkley and, in some respects, the Weeknd, the release features five original tracks, all of which both transcend and dip in and out of genres, moods, and styles.

Girl group Stooshe are a vocal trio featuring Courtney Rumbold, Alexandra Buggs & Karis Anderson. These London Lasses broke onto the UK music scene in 2012, with an unconventional approach to the standard girl band formula.

Stooshe went on to achieve rapid success selling 800,000 singles and spending 6 weeks in the UK Chart top 5 with their 2nd single release 'Blackheart'. After charting in the top 40 for over 16 weeks 'Blackheart' received a nomination for "Best British single" at the 2013 Brit Awards, up against some of the biggest names in the industry.

In a relatively small amount of time Stooshe’s achievements spoke for themselves, touring with pop history’s biggest names, Nikki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez, closing the Mobo's, getting nominated for a Brit and having had 4 top 20's, 2 top 10's and a top 10 selling album.

Since the release of the last album the girls took a small hiatus to re brand, evolve and record new material. And the good news is... The girls are back! Don't miss them at Reverb this year...

After years of being a songwriter for hire, Rukhsana Merrise's own enlightenment came when putting together the September Songs EP, which came out for free on Soundcloud last year.Lyrically, Rox is a reticent voice for her generation. “I just wanna be the truest representation of myself. I'm not trying to be a torchbearer. She cites the likes of Frank Ocean and D'Angelo as inspirations because they make their audience wait until they've worked out exactly how they want to present their musical truths. Whilst contemporary influences include Kanye West, Haim, Amy Winehouse, The Staves and John Mayer, Rox says “I like digging through my mum's music. I grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac, 10cc, Karen Carpenter, Joni Mitchell… Joni's when I found out that you can write about anything.” In terms of the current British crop, Rox has supported Jack Garratt, Laura Mvula and Leon Bridges – an indication of her unique approach to melding genres and sounds old and new to create something that fits her own individualism.

This year has seen Rox completing her debut LP and doing more shows, which she's more excited about than anything, particularly after a life-changing experience at Glastonbury 2015, a place she describes as “magical”. When it comes to being in the moment, Rox is feeling every second.

Emmavie is an incredible producer and artist from Harrow. With a mix of musical influences such as The Neptunes, Erykah Badu, Dorian Concept and more, she has formulated a unique blend of Electronic infused R&B/Hip Hop/Soul music that has really caught peoples attention wherever she has performed. Make sure you catch Emmavie at Reverb this year performing an intimate set...

Arlissa is a singer-songwriter of half German and half American descent, raised in Crystal Palace, London. She began writing music whilst still at school, studying for her A-levels. At 19 years old she was signed to London Records and then with Jay Z ’s Roc Nation. "I was writing and recording with a friend. He got some people from London Records down to the studio and they offered me a contract the same day.

"The label were playing my music to some people at Roc Nation in New York. Joe Brown walked past, heard the music and said on the spot, ‘I want her’. I flew out the next week, met Joe and signed a management deal.”

Arlissa’s track Hard To Love Somebody gained attention from a publisher, which eventually was passed on to Nas . After hearing the track Nas approached her to feature on it, he flew Arlissa out to LA in order to record the collaboration in person. On working with Nas, Arlissa said, "The whole experience was completely surreal, my ex was obsessed by Nas, and we used to listen to him all the time.""He just makes you feel so comfortable.”

"It wasn’t until I was on the plane home that I suddenly realised... I just did a track with Nas’. It’s been an incredible opportunity." Arlissa is only the second UK artist to collaborate with Nas after Amy Winehouse.

After a move to South London, Raheem Bakaré's life took on a whole new direction, fueled by his immersion in classic hip-hop from his brothers and the emerging Grime scene at the time.

In the years that have followed Raheem has steadily built his confidence and cultivated his sound in private, until 2014, when he was at last ready to unveil his talent to the world. It culminated in the release of his debut EP 'AWOL'. The eight-track project was a meld of R&B and Soul that marked Raheem down as one to watch in the years to follow.

Since crossing the digital border from Myspace; Dane J. Baptiste is working towards becoming a recognised and dominant force on the comedy scene. The stand-up comedian from Hither Green, South East London, was nominated for the 2014 "Best Newcomer" Edinburgh Comedy Award and was also nominated for a Chortle award in 2015 - Dane has been receiving rave reviews across the board for his stand-up and is fast becoming one of the biggest names on the circuit. A crowd favorite, we're delighted to welcome him along as our headline comedian for our final Reverb festival of the summer.

'It’s just a matter of time before Julian Deane gets a boost up the comedy rankings. His trick is to make you think you’re watching standard stand-up fare, then twisting expectations with sharp, original punchlines.'

'Deliciously twisted. a stream of seriously good gags. quick, sharply written and endlessly repeatable lines.'

'Assured and brilliant. Deane is a class apart. a master of hilarious twists and turns.'

First time at Reverb...will definitely be back for more! Party on the roof...the music and dj were great. Perfect weather and surroundings created the best laidback vibes. My only criticism and a small one at that...more seating and not be rushed once event had finished. Salma visited The Roof Gardens on 10 Aug 2016

Lovely afternoon, good atmosphere and great music... The weather also helped. The only shame is that it finished when people were getting warmed up...5.30 pm is far too early for a party to end... Miguel visited The Roof Gardens on 11 Aug 2016

Reply from The Roof Gardens

Dear Miguel, We were delighted to hear you enjoyed a lovely afternoon with us at Reverb. Sadly all good things must come to an end and Reverb wraps us at 5.30pm in order to allow us to get ready for our Club night in the evening. We hope to see you on The Roof again soon and perhaps will be able to temp you to our Live! series. It runs throughout the winter months and you can head straight into The Club after to carry on enjoying your evening. Kind regards Sam Wilson General Manager

Like a picnic on a rooftop, a lovely relaxed afternoon! I will be going next year. The Spanish stage was best stage in my opinion with some people even having a dance. The BBQ was truley gourmet and the massive portions soaked up all the yummy cocktails- I'd recommend 'pink flamingo' aptly named after the real Flamingos chilling in the gardens.

Reply from The Roof Gardens

Dear Katrina, What a lovely review, thank you so much for sharing your Reverb experience with us. It was a pleasure to welcome you to The Roof for the afternoon, and we loved reading that you enjoyed a ‘Pink Flamingo’ cocktail, some gourmet BBQ food and even a little dance with us. We can’t wait to see you again soon. Kind regards Sam Wilson General Manager

First time at Reverb and it was a really fun afternoon. Slightly more seating would have been better and I agree with another comment on here that it would have been nice if we could have stayed on a bit longer after the music acts had finished, as we felt rushed out, which was a shame because the whole day had felt really chilled. Also would have been good if the comedy acts hadn't finished so early. Having said that we had a great time and I would go back next year. sarahnauj visited The Roof Gardens on 03 Mar 2016

First time and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. The only criticisms I have is could do with some more seating as its a good few hours if you have to stand and one of my cocktails was a bit disappointing couldn't taste the rum, it just tasted of lime juice. However the above would not put me off coming again. Sarah visited The Roof Gardens on 10 Jul 2016

Musical acts were excellent, dj was good and really nice BBQ was a shame there was no cutlery and we had to eat salad with our hands 👀 I did request cutlery and the guy said they'd run out but would bring some to our table but he never did👎🏾 comedy show could have been better and the vip area prevented the crowd from vibing with artist to the point Bridget Kelly asked if she could let people into the vip as she couldn't see the crowd! She ended up moving herself to the vip area to be closer, would of been nice to hang out after for drinks as it felt a bit rushed to be out, think some minor improvements could be made but overall good. Zara visited The Roof Gardens on 01 Apr 2016

Reply from The Roof Gardens

Please rest assured your valued feedback on the cutlery and the VIP areas, have been shared with the team and we are reassessing these points for the next Reverb event in July. We hope to see you then for more music, food and good times on The Roof! Kind regards, Sam Wilson General Manager

Great music, stunning venue but poor value for money. £22.50 for entry just for the afternoon. Service charge is also added to drinks bills which are already high due to the location, but often the service was slow with no smile. Wouldn't go back for this event unfortunately. Amber visited The Roof Gardens on 19 Apr 2016

Reply from The Roof Gardens

Dear Amber, Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback with us following your recent visit to Reverb. Whilst it was lovely to hear that you enjoyed the music and the venue, I was saddened to hear that you left us feeling disappointed and not wanting to return. I was very sorry to hear that you did not feel your afternoon was value for money and I was particularly disappointed to hear that you found the service to be slow and without a smile. To clarify, the service charge is optional and can of course be removed at our guest’s discretion. I’d like to take this opportunity to assure you that your valued feedback has been shared with the team to help us improve. I would very much like the opportunity to chat to you further about your recent visit and I’d be grateful if you could kindly advise how I may contact you by emailing me at the email address below. Reverb- Great entertainment, delicious food although had to use hands (very messy!!) as wooden cutlery available at time was useless. MIC LOWRY and Bridget Kelly for music with Rob Deering comedian got my attention. Carol visited The Roof Gardens on 20 May 2016

Besides having to eat my coleslaw and salad with my hands... suggestion would be to move the "VIP" section where acts need or guarantee it will be filled, no artist likes an empty space in front the stage. manders visited The Roof Gardens on 01 Apr 2016

Reply from The Roof Gardens

Dear manders, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent review of Reverb at The Roof Gardens with us. Rest assured, your feedback on the VIP area has been shared with the Club team who are exploring options for an alternative setup for future events. I was disappointed to hear that you ended up eating your salad with your hands, we do provide cutlery for the BBQ so I would very much welcome the opportunity to chat with you further about your experience and what went wrong here. I would be very grateful if you could contact me using the details below so that we may chat further. Kind regards, Sam Wilson General Manager
