New Bar Spy - Homeboy Battersea

Cracking Cocktails And Top-Notch Irish Hospitality Have Landed In Battersea

Homeboy Battersea

Venue Closed

A bar whose star never seems to stop rising, Homeboy have achieved a lot for a venue who only celebrated their second birthday in December. The Islington cocktail bods have scooped numerous awards and accolades in their short life, and now they've taken the next step and launched a sister site in Nine Elms.

Sat on New Union Square, just shy of the US Embassy building, this latest venue will be home to more superb tipples from the Homeboy catalogue. Fan favourites like the Wogan and their signature Irish Coffee have made the new menu cut, but for those looking for something more classic, the bartenders are well-versed in the ways of negronis and espresso martinis. As for the Guinness? There's no doubt they'll keep serving up London's most beautiful pint of the black stuff.

There's a full-fledged food menu too, as the kitchen serves up playful twists on Irish comfort classics - think curry chips, cheese toasties and one of London's only chicken fillet rolls.

The real USP of this place however, is the welcome you'll receive. Owners Aaron Wall and Ciarán Smith have spent years honing their own style of modern Irish hospitality - they even started a podcast about it - and it shows in every aspect of the business, from the tongue-in-cheek cocktail titles, to the charm their team will hurl at you as soon as you step through the door.
