Hakkasan

Description

Winning its first Michelin star in 2003, Hakkasan is a high-class Oriental fusion restaurant in the West End of London. Spread throughout the world in places such as New York, Shanghai and Dubai, they have a worldwide reputation for excellence and first-class service. Their Hanway Place edition however is the original Hakkasan first started in 2001 and is the model for all their other ventures. Wooden screens and latticing are just some of the features that evoke a traditional decadent Chinoiserie, punctuated by black and gold panels.

Not only the model in terms of design, head chef Tong Chee Hwee's signature dishes are also the inspiration for their international restaurants, from Peking Duck with caviar and grilled Wagyu beef with king soy sauce, this original restaurant serves as an inspiration to all. An award-winning wine list, it is surreptitiously chosen for its fine taste and splendour, ideally complimenting their exquisite menu. These are just some of the reasons why Hakkasan has retained its Michelin Star all these years and why it is at the forefront of modern Chinese cuisine.
